On November 3, Wugang successfully developed high-end special steel plate 12Cr2Mo1VR, which will be used for the manufacturing of key parts of a key Sinopec refining and chemical project. The high-end special steel plate will replace the import, creating the thickness (193mm) and single weight (46 tons) of the current domestic 12Cr2Mo1VR steel plate made of electroslag ingot and "forging and rolling".

In the process of research and development, in the face of many challenges to the limit of equipment and process limits, Wugang boldly innovates the process, constantly creates a better process model, adopts the new process of electroslag ingot and "forging - rolling" to overcome the technical problems of the industry such as composition, mechanical properties and microstructure fluctuations in the production process of steel plates. On February 6, Wugang EN10225 standard - fixed offshore structure welded steel plate successfully passed the German TuV Rhine certification, the certification scope covers S355NLO, S420MLO and S460QLO and other grades, the performance pass rate of 100%, product technical quality indicators reached the advanced level at home and abroad.



EN10225 standard steel plate has good comprehensive mechanical properties, welding properties, process properties, requiring 1/2 impact, strain aging, Z tensile, etc., technical requirements are significantly higher than ordinary structural steel, is a high-end product. It is mainly used in the manufacture of key structural parts such as wind power equipment, oil production platform and dock equipment.
